How Credavyn works.

Credavyn connects your entered grades, syllabus, credit hours, assignments, and deadlines. Free tracks your semester. Pro turns those inputs into score targets and a study strategy.

1. Start with your instructor’s grading rules

For total-points grading, earned points are divided by possible points. For weighted categories, each category’s percentage is multiplied by its syllabus weight. For example, exams at 82% with a 50% weight, assignments at 90% with a 30% weight, and participation at 100% with a 20% weight produce an 88% class grade.

Percentages entered on assignments are converted to points so a 200-point exam still counts more than a 10-point quiz within a points-based group. Blank work is ungraded; an entered zero counts. Excused or excluded work is left out.

2. Convert grades to a credit-weighted GPA

Each course’s grade is converted using its grade scale. Multiply its grade points by credits, add those quality points, and divide by counted credits. Your cumulative GPA also includes the prior GPA and credits you enter. Classes without usable grades can make the total partial.

3. Find the scores needed for your target

Pro’s Grade Lab evaluates your remaining work against an entered target, while preserving graded work and locked what-if scores. In a simple scenario with 40% of the final grade complete at 76%, a target of 85% requires an average of 91% on the remaining 60%: (85 − 76 × 0.40) ÷ 0.60 = 91.

Your actual course can have different assignment points and category weights. The calculator uses those details and flags incomplete setup. If the target is above the scenario’s maximum with 100% on remaining work, it tells you instead of promising an impossible result.

4. Build a semester game plan

Pro compares your chosen remaining-work average with your class goals, highlights targets needing attention, and ranks tasks by deadlines, grade impact, estimated effort, and classes needing stronger scores. Pick the minutes you have and download a strategy with upcoming deadlines. Time estimates are planning inputs, not promises about your score.

5. Keep your work connected

Free includes CSV and calendar imports, backups, and calendar reminders after you import the exported file into your calendar app. Direct Canvas sync is a Pro feature where your school approves access. The experimental AI coach runs on your device and may be slow or unavailable on some devices.

Your syllabus is the final word

Enter all counted assignments, points, credits, grade thresholds, and weights before relying on a forecast. Special rules such as dropped scores, late penalties, curves, or unsupported Canvas policies can change the official outcome.
